Invitation to the Open Day at the HAEA

2014.09.03

The Hungarian Atomic Energy Authority - following the tradition of previous years - joined the European Heritage Days program series this year as well, and opens its doors to visitors for one day. Guided visits start on September the 20th (Saturday), 2014 at 2, 3 and 4pm. During the open day activities there will be presentations about interesting topics such as the licensing process of the new units of the Paks nuclear power plant, or terrorism targeting nuclear objectives. After the presentations, the HAEA’s Centre for Emergency Response, Training and Analysis (CERTA) can be visited in guided groups, where the activities of the Centre will be presented based on a simulated nuclear accident. The language of the programs is Hungarian.

There will be a poster exhibiton on the corridors about the activities of the HAEA, and the radioactive waste management in Hungary. The program will last approx. 2 hours. Click here for more information on the European Heritage Days.
