Recent Developments in Nuclear Safety in Hungary, November 2022

The new issue of HAEA’s Nuclear Safety Bulletin presenting a number of interesting articles is now available. In the new issue, you can read about the most significant statistical data on nuclear safety, the Parliamentary Report on the activities of the HAEA in 2021, nuclear emergency preparedness and the licensing procedures of Paks II. Nuclear Power Plant Ltd. We also give an overview on the most significant international events, such as the 66th IAEA General Conference in Vienna, the visit of the HAEA President to the IAEA and the Finnish regulatory authority (STUK) as well as the nuclear safety challenges of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. In the new issue of the Bulletin we emphasize that Hungary has been providing guarantee for the peaceful use of nuclear materials to the International Atomic Energy Agency for 50 years.
