HAEA cancels its international events in Budapest until end of October

The Director General of the Hungarian Atomic Energy Authority decided to cancel all international events hosted by the HAEA in Budapest until 31 October, based on the pandemic situation and the uncertain travel conditions. In this period, official international trips of the HAEA staff are not allowed either.

Almost every employee of the authority has remote access and working from home to prevent an outbreak of the COVID-19 virus in the organisation. The planned end-date of the teleworking period is 15 June, 2020. The Defense Working Committee of the HAEA (set up in the middle of March) is continuously monitoring the situation and the government decisions related to the pandemic to plan further steps and advise management decisions in order to minimize risks.
