HAEA signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation with the nuclear regulatory authority of the United Arab Emirates

Memorandum of Understanding

On 17 September 2024, the Hungarian Atomic Energy Authority signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with the Nuclear Regulatory Authority of the United Arab Emirates on the sidelines of the 68th General Assembly of the International Atomic Energy Agency with the aim of strengthening professional relations.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding would allow the start of cooperation between the two authorities mainly focused on exchange of information and experience in areas such as nuclear and radiation protection safety assessments, management of nuclear emergencies and regulatory oversight of nuclear facilities.
