The plenary meeting of the European Nuclear Safety Regulators Group (ENSREG) took place on the 24 April in Brussel where the Hungarian Atomic Energy Authority’s representative and other participants discussed the ENSREG working groups’ activities on nuclear safety and international cooperation, waste management and decommissioning, and transparency and official communication.

ENSREG discussed measures to harmonize the activities of international working groups. Members reviewed ENSREG’s Work Programme for the period of 2024 to 2026 as well as the results of the ongoing stress tests carried out in third countries, such as Türkiye. Members also reported on the progress of the second Topical Peer Review as required by the EURATOM Nuclear Safety Directive.

The next plenary meeting will be held in November 2023.
