Visit of the Finnish Delegation

On 20-21 January the delegation of the Finnish Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority (STUK) visited the Hungarian Atomic Energy Authority. Hungarian and Finnish experts have met for the eigth time to share their licensing and supervisory experiences.

During the two-day meeting the Finnish and the Hungarian participants were sharing their latest information on actual status of the new nuclear power plant projects, on site characterization issues and the proposed layout of the plant. Questions related to the long lead time items were also discussed. HAEA experts presented their experience on audits of organisations participating in the project and the regulatory inspection results of Paks II. Ltd.

The next meeting is planned to be held in May in Helsinki.
