Uzbek delegation visits HAEA

On 12 November 2018 a delegation of Uzatom and Enter Engineering Pte Ltd. paid a visit to Mr Gyula Fichtinger, Director General of the Hungarian Atomic Energy Authority. The representative of HAEA held a presentation in the subject of the Hungarian nuclear program and regulatory system, about the legal framework as well as the tasks of the regulatory body.

The Uzbek experts raised several questions regarding the Budapest Training Reactor and Research Reactor, licensing procedures of the new NPP units, licensing fees and public hearings.

The Uzbek delegation expressed its intention to establish further links and strengthen cooperation in order to become familiar with the Hungarian experience and benefit from the Hungarian expertise.
