Visit of Slovakian Nuclear Authority Experts at the HAEA

Experts of the Nuclear Regulatory Authority of the Slovak Republic (UJD) have visited the HAEA and held consultations with their Hungarian counterparts in order to improve professional relationships between national authorities and to study safety analyses of accidents and the practice of inspections carried out by the Hungarian authority.


The professional visit, which took place on 17 June 2014, was attended by two safety analysis experts of the Slovakian authority. With their Hungarian partners from the MVM Paks NPP and the Nuclear Safety Research Institute (NUBIKI Kft.) the Slovakian experts discussed the details of serious accident management systems and their connection with probabilistic safety analyses at MVM Paks NPP. At the end of their visit the representatives of the Slovakian authority appreciated the help of the HAEA and the external consultants.
