In the framework of the OECD NEA’s Multinational Design Evaluation Program the Hungarian Atomic Energy Authority hosted the meeting of the MDEP working group on Severe Accidents on September 6 and 7.
Finnish, Russian, Turkish and Hungarian experts participated in the meeting and informed each other about the latest developments in new VVER nuclear power plant units in their country and reported on their experiences of severe accident analyzes.
During the one and a half day event among
others they had a discussion about the formation of common position of
the working group on Severe Accindents
which will give the main direction of the work for the next few years.
The next meeting of the
group is going to be held in Paris at the beginning of next year.
