HAEA signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation with the nuclear regulatory authority of the Arab Republic of Egypt

On 24 June 2025, Andrea Beatrix Kádár, President of the Hungarian Atomic Energy Authority, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority (ENRRA) with the aim of deepening bilateral professional relations. The MoU covers the exchange of information and professional experience between the two authorities, in areas such as nuclear power plant oversight, emergency preparedness, radioactive waste management, research reactor oversight and safety culture.

The MoU also provides an opportunity for the Parties to strengthen the regulatory relations in areas of mutual interest through joint seminars, trainings and other professional programs.
